I've noticed this past weekend that Payton is expressing herself even better. She can say any word you ask her to - and say it clearly enough that anyone would know what she was saying, but she just doesn't express herself (her needs, feelings, etc.) very well. In the past if something hurt her ears she would usually just start screaming. At times, it can be hard to know she's crying because something hurt her ears because the noise may be something we can't even hear. This weekend someone sneezed and she said "somebody hurt my ears". Wow!! At that point, we could talk to her, help ease her mind, or get her out of the situation. Her other new expression is "do not do that to me". She has really made some improvements with her expressive speech - and we are loving every bit of it.
Here's some pics from the weekend:

Abi loves the pool, for about 2 minutes until she freezes.
Fire pits are another favorite around here!
Can't wait to see you on Sun. I will be there no matter what! I'm really hoping we figure all this out with Abi before then. As of today we have 6 families coming(including yours and mine) doesn't sound like alot but when there are only 30+ in the KC area it's not too bad!

Looks like you have it made with your pool!! Love the pics - what happened to Koen's head? The bump looks like the size of a croquet mallet... hmmm??? :)
That is so great that Payton is expressing her self so well!!! I hope Brady gets like that sometime soon!!!
I love the floating car. I wish Noah would sit still in one. Somehow I think he and Koen could get in some real mischief together.:)
I love the pictures!
Ouch! Poor Koen, what did you do to him?! lol, just kidding. I am thinking of getting Avery a wetsuit to she won't freeze in the pool this summer. Great news about the expressive speech!!! Avery's expressive speech is pretty poor a this point, so I can apprecaite the progress in Payton!

Hello. I was doing a google search and found this blog and felt absolutely compelled to send you a comment. You have such a beautiful family. It took me most of the day and lots of tears later to finish reading your blog but I am so glad I did. Just reading it has put so many things in perspective for me. I wish you and your family many blessings.
Looks like a blast! What happened to Koen's head?? The poor baby!!
That's wonderful about the expressive language! Great pool pics too!
